I really hope there is a sequel to the Clearing… It was a great story, and I find that I cannot bring myself to return the book to the library just yet – I need more Henry and Amy. The ending was unexpected… I felt like it was left so that there could be a sequel.

I just finished reading The Clearing.In just one day. It was a really good book. I loved it. To be completly honest it made me cry. It is a really powerful story. I think that you should make a sequel. I would love to know what happens next. Please make a sequel. 🙂

I luved the clearing, but when i read the ending and i found out that amy didnt end up with henry, and that he like…. dies i felt like i was gonna have a heart attack and i actually cried for 10 minutes (no exaggeration here) 😥 </3
Ah, Katie — No spoilers allowed! Actually, remember there is the mist in the field again. You get to decide if Henry found a way to return without disturbing anything — and this time, Amy is a different girl (who would never hang out with Matt Parker, by the way!) So, don’t be too sad! 🙂

I liked how much fun NEVER CRY WEREWOLF was. As opposed to other paranormals where more often than not things end up being a matter of life and death. Looking forward to your other books!

The Clearing was a great book! I hope you’ll keep writing about Amy and Henry. When I read the ending, I knew that it wasn’t a real ending and that they could find each other once again. As the cover of the book says: “True Love is Timeless”, it would make sense for them to find each other again. I can’t wait to read more about them! Great work 😀

I really really love your novel The Clearing! It’s one of the best novels I’ve read this summer! I am in love with Henry. He feels so real to me. I like how you begin the book with Amy wishing for things to be different and then ending it the same way. I’m surprised that there’s a new Amy now, living a different life. I just stayed up till past midnight reading The Clearing, and it was absolutely beautiful. It was sad, yet moving. I love how it ended, realistic and bittersweet. A lot of YA authors these days write too much for the audience – they try too hard to make it such a perfect happy ending to please the readers, but I love how this novel was written for its own sake. I can’t wait for Wherever You Go!

so i finished reading The Clearing last night and then again today and soo has my mum.. i wouls like to say what an amazing writer you are. i love the way you intertwinned the two different times together and the way you make us feel what the characters are feeling. i loved the character of Amy and i especially loved HERNY, hee was a complete gentleman. i only wish the were still more guys like him. what truely stood out to me was… dont be afriad to love again and that true love, true trust will live forever.
one thing that got me confussed ( but i firgure it out) was how at the end everything had changed for the both of them, but i can not believe the HERNY WAS MISSING IN ACTION,, why didnt you bring him baxk with his brother and joe. I WANT HERNY BACK :D. besides my being crazy, i loves your books and the way you right, you truely right from the heart, and both of the books i have read theres an amazing message at the end that brings me to tears.

I just finished The Clearing, and it was absolutely brilliant. It’s my favorite romance novel. I literally was sobbing during the last the chapters. It was fantastic, and I would love if you could make a sequeal! It would go write to the top of my ever growing list of books to read. Also, this book inspired me. My teachers, parents, and friends have been telling me I should be a writer. I never thought I could do it until now. I’m sure you didn’t guess by my writing style, but I’m 16. Hey I’m alex and I just wanted to let you know that the thing that caught my eye through the sea of books I was looking through was the cover. Good Job on those! Which then led me to open to the summary and I was hooked from then on 🙂
I’m glad that you’ve writen the never cry werewolf series. As far bake as i can remember i’ve always wanted to be a vet but now i want to become a writer. Thank you for letting me realize my options in life!

I really love and enjoy Never Cry Werewolf, I just recently read the first book and haven’t yet read Sometimes by Moonlight (I can’t wait though). You’ve actually inspired me to write a book of my own, though it is quite difficult…I can’t decide what I should do, I keep fighting with myself on the story line. I’ve started to write the story too many times for me to count but I just never can settle on one, I just end up starting over everytime. Could you give me some advice?…I could really use the help. By the way never stop writing, you are a magnificent writer, if it wasn’t for you I never would have thought of becoming a writer, you gave me a purpose in life so thank you. My late little sister loved to read but she died from cancer four years ago I thought maybe I should become a doctor to to give myself a new purpose in life, to help people but I never was good at health so I ended up dropping out of college about one year ago and I’ve been looking for something I could do with my life…I was never really into reading but I wanted to do it for my sister…now I know she would be proud of her big sister…I know I’ve already said it but thank you for inspiring me to do something with my life I know my little sister would be so proud of…I can almost see her smile.

What a great note. You should know that you can be inspired by the people around you for your career, but in the end it has to be something you are passionate about. Try writing and see if you like it! Writing is something you can do your whole life, whether it’s your job or not.

Hey i chech every week just to see if theres any new information on the never cry werewolf series…is there???
I know ive told u this before but I LOVE “never cry werewolf” and when i dont have anything to read i pick it up and end up sitting up in my room for hours not being able to put it down until ive read every last word again and again. I honestly cant wait for book 3 after book 2 ended in such a cliffhanger ( your killing me here heather)!!! I havent had a chance to read “the clearing” yet but if its anything like your werewolf series than i cant wait. Anyway happy writing and I cant wait to read the next book when it comes out hopefully soon? 😀

I loved sometimes by moonlight and I wanted to know how you come up with the names of your characters, and i was very surprised to find that the name Shelby had been given to a main character in a book series. Plus I hope you have or are going to write a third book 😀

It was always in my mind to call Shelby – Shelby. I can’t explain why, it just sounded right. That’s kind of what happens with all the character names in my books.

I am absolutely sure that if someone made a movie after your books “Do not cry moonlight” and “Sometimes moonlight” as the most watched film and sold worldwide! Hey heather! I haven’t read any of your books yet but I plan to! I love to read! My friends make jokes all the time about me reading to much I mean what 14 year old reads reads over 70 books in the summer (me)!?! I also love to write and use my imagination! When ever we write in school I always get the highest grade in the class! I have tried to write a book that way one day maybe it can be published but I cant ever get it write! I have rewrote the beginning like 20 times and changed what I wont the characters to be like and what relationship they will have. Any advice about writing???
Hi Cora — my best advice on writing is to do a lot of reading, so you’re already on your way. Reading helps you understand the structure and flow of stories, so that will be a great help to you!

I read The Clearing in less than 48 hours and it just took over all my time from start to finish!! The end made me feel like I was missing something or someone only because we never knew what happened for sure. If you did write a sequel Miss Davis you would fill a huge void!! 🙂 but thank you for writing this AMAZING book that made me sob like a baby and changed my perspective on how men should treat women 😉 I’ve read a lot of YA novels but Henry is by far the best fictional character I’ve read about!!

the clearing has remained my all time favorite book since a year ago and i’ve been searching for a book to compare to how good the clearing was. pleaseeeee write a sequal to the clearing, it was so awesome!!!!! or at least write another book with the similar country boy falling in love aspect and each of em telling their perspective. i love youre books!!!

Do you think you will keep writing the never cry werewolf books ??
The Clearing is my FAVORITE book of all time. The first time I read it was my Freshman year of High school and I could not put it down. My teachers always had to tell me to make sure I had no more class or before I could read otherwise they told me to wait until lunch. I’ve read that book more times now than I can count and I’m now already 2 years graduated out of high school.
I don’t know if you’ve ever considered this Heather Davis but I would love to see a movie based on this book! For a couple years now I’ve been wondering if you’ve ever given any thought into possibly having movies based off some of your books.
I can definitely tell you right now though that if a movie ever comes out that’s based on your book “The Clearing ” I WILL be going to see it on opening night in theaters and I WILL buy the movie being as I already have the book!
